Collaboration

Daresbury Science & Innovation Campus engages in collaborations with a vast number of partners and subsequently brings their combined knowledge to each new interaction.

One of the three pillars of the Daresbury SIC mission is successful collaborations with stakeholders and partners.

By promoting interaction and synergies, and also providing facilities, support and networking opportunities, we aim to help both tenant companies and those in our network to maximise their growth, and further scientific research and development.

Industry, academia and other large scale R&D facilities have already benefited, resulting in even greater knowledge exchange and scientific innovation.

Among the many case studies of successful collaboration: 

Collaborations with partners:

• Daresbury SIC scientists are currently engaged in a unique collaboration with the University of Cambridge and Kings College London and major international companies on the modelling of cells and on laser visualisation of interactions to characterise chemical reactions
• Daresbury Innovation Centre is involved in a programme of collaboration with bodies such as UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) on support for businesses in matters such as export marketing, legalisation and commercialisation issues
• Daresbury Innovation Centre works in close partnership with Merseyside ICT and the AIMES Centre of Liverpool University on promoting projects such as SoftwareCity and i-tech partner.  

Collaborations with stakeholders:

• With Liverpool University in promoting the Northern Leadership Academy and The Liverpool University Business Gateway.
• With Lancaster University on a wide range of student project interactions
