Event Overview
Finding and securing the right type of finance to fund your business growth is essential. There is now a plethora of products available both from the public and the private sector. If you would like to know more about what types of grants and other finance is available, what you can do to access them and the practical issues to think about, then this session is for you.
This free of charge event will give attendees an understanding of different types of grant including GRAND awards and R&D tax credits as well as other forms of finance.
Event Detail
The event will start at 11.00am with a short welcome, followed by three presentations on the subject which will cover the basics of different grant types and practicalities involved.
The event will include a buffet lunch giving attendees a chance to explore the issues raised in the presentations in more detail.
The Presenters:
Clive Grunsell NWDA | Clive is the Grants for Business Manager at the North West Development Agency and has been working with SME’s to secure R&D funding for a number of years. He specialises in the GRAND awards but also deals in Grant for Business Investment. |
Sharon Connolly HM Revenue & Customs | Sharon works in the specialist unit within HMRC in Manchester which administers Research & Development (R&D) Tax Credits for companies. R&D tax relief allows companies who incur a minimum of £10,000 qualifying expenditure on R&D related to their trade to claim an extra deduction which could mean the company can get relief on 175% of their qualifying costs! |
