Virtual drug discovery and toxicity

Daresbury Laboratory runs CCP4 (Collaborative Computational Project 4), a national collaboration of computer scientists looking at molecular modelling.  It is therefore the UK hub for the development and maintenance of a suite of molecular simulation software.

Indeed each of the UK's major collaborative computational projects has a base at Daresbury where code is written and tested and where the hardware exists to run it.
