Through the Science & Technology Facilities Council which operates facilities both at Daresbury and at Harwell in Oxfordshire, Daresbury SIC offers access to a host of world leading and world class facilities.
The Science & Technology Facilities Council is one of Europe's largest multidisciplinary research organisations, supporting scientists and engineers world-wide. It operates world-class large-scale research facilities, provides strategic advice to the government and manages international projects in support of a broad cross-section of the UK
research community.
The STFC operates one of the world’s greatest collections of high-end scientific equipment, including synchrotrons and neutron sources. It also has a responsibility to ensure that the UK scientific community continues to have access to large facilities that will enable it to perform high quality, world leading research in the future.
