The ideal blend of science, technology, innovation and business means that the Daresbury Campus is perfectly suited to deliver key targets of the UK skills strategy.

Plans are being developed to create a regional training academy in partnership with North West further educational establishments that will enable apprentices to gain skills and knowledge through access to world-class facilities and expertise. Areas where success is expected include advanced instrumentation, microtechnology, nanotechnology, advanced engineering and digital/ICT.

Another exciting opportunity concerns collaboration with North West universities and business schools to develop a business innovation centre. Such an institution will have the potential to take simple ideas and mould them into exciting business ventures.

The future will be very bright as long as the Campus operates as a beacon for new initiatives and new opportunities.
