UKTI input at Daresbury SIC has provided a powerful list of benefits to companies, including:

• A programme of UKTI/Daresbury SIC co-branded events such as:

  Doing Business in the USA (visit of the Greater Richmond Partnership to Daresbury)

  Export opportunities to Canada (visit of Canadian Industrial Research Assistance Program to Daresbury)

In a 2007 pilot R&D project carried out with UKTI:

• 85% of the companies received free web site and e-marketing consultancy

• 67% received free specialist professional advice

• 57% completed a funded international market visit

To date nearly 50% of the companies in the Innovation Centre at Daresbury have an International Trade Advisor assigned to them, and it is proving to be a very successful and productive partnership.
