'IDEAS at Daresbury' will promote and develop detailed understanding of effective knowledge exchange processes between hi-tech SMEs, large corporations, Universities and government laboratory science and technology.

As the UK's leading practitioner in open innovation, IXC UK was established in 2003 to help companies share expertise and collaborate on research through its ground-breaking intermediary service.  By building links between smaller businesses, blue chip organisations and higher education, IXC UK helps enable new applications for technologies and expansion of market horizons.

TrusTECH is an NHS organisation and part of the NHS Innovation Hub network and has a base within the Campus' Medical Technology Exchange Centre (MedTEC). It provides advice on and assistance with managing innovation arising from all aspects of the NHS healthcare provision. As one of the first NHS Innovations Hubs to be established, TrusTECH has a wealth of experience in intellectual property (IP) management.  Based in the Innovation Unit at Manchester Royal Infirmary (and with offices here at Daresbury, along with Liverpool and Preston), TrusTECH works with Trusts in Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside.

MedTEC has been established to allow more rapid engagement of the NHS and other health-related organisations in the innovation process.   Also present within the Centre is the Medical Research Council's Technology Group who are working closely with companies on Campus and in the Daresbury Network.
