  • None of the nearly 100 Campus companies failed in 2009 and only 7 companies have failed in the 5 years since the Innovation Centre opened . Of these 7 companies, one was acquired by another campus companies and 4 have phoenixed

  • Campus companies have seen their sales double in 2 years,
    with an average growth in 2009 of 27%

  • Investment into Campus companies has also doubled in 2 years to £30m including a growth of £10m in 2009

  • Daresbury SIC won the UK Science Park's "Outstanding Science Park" Award in 2009 for its track record in developing a collaborative culture and engaging its companies with the knowledge-base in the Universities

  • The Campus team has a successful track record of engaging SMEs with each other but also developing collaborations with a wide variety of corporates including Rolls Royce, SGI, Cisco, Unilever, Fresenius-Kabi, microsoft etc

  • Over 350 new products and services have been developed by Campus companies in the last two years including 219 in 2009
